WOW. The Rollercoaster of emotions I am feeling rn.
I now understand why the first book had to be the bland retelling of Beauty and the Beast that it was. It set the stage for the real story to unfold.
This story was deep. Its characters were complex and forming into real people in your mind rather than just words on a page. The little details and big details and pure beauty in this novel was enchanting and all consuming. It's also very well thought out and executed and left me with my jaw on the floor, shaking.
I am IN LOVE with these people and this story. I cannot wait to start the next book.
