Give My Everything by Jillian Liota

5.0

Picking up “Give My Everything,” I was instantly filled with the same warm, happy feelings that I had reading the first two books. It was like seeing a best friend after too much time apart, but knowing that nothing has changed between you. Like the rest of the series, the beach setting is vivid. The characters are complex and see a lot of development. And not just the main characters either.

I didn’t want to like Remmy. She didn’t seem like anyone I would want to be friends with. But her life isn’t what it seems from the outside. When you get to know her, she is strong, resilient, independent, and brave. Yet she’s also insecure at times. She worries about her family’s opinions of her. But she is a force to be reckoned with. So it takes a strong man to be enough for her.

Ben is nowhere near perfect. But he gives Remmy an unlimited supply of what she needs most in her life: unconditional support. He is willing to be there for her, even before they get close. As they fall for each other, Ben’s support and trustworthiness is invaluable. I love how he is willing to go to bat for Remmy against anyone who stands against her.

I adore this book because it is so real, and the emotions so raw, that you become a part of it. Fake relationships are my very favorite romance trope anyway, but “Give My Everything “ really kicked it up a notch. It doesn’t shy away from difficult or messy emotions. It blends them seamlessly with steamy love scenes, true love, and complicated family bonds. This book/series is the whole package.
