You Can't Scare Me by Bonnie Grubman

1.0

What the.....? At first, I thought it was going to be about two friends scaring each other, but having fun. It was not. One repeatedly asked him to stop because he was genuinely scared. He lied, and said he would, then didn’t. The friend leaves, then comes back to plot revenge. This all just didn’t sit well with me. The boundary violations, revenge, lack of respect..... just no. No means no, and it’s a powerful message that kids should learn early on. One star simply because of the adorable illustrations.
