Another win from my fave, Jenny Colgan. I loved going back to Beach Street and the community here, with Polly, Huckle, and of course Neil šŸ§. I really liked Marisa, loved her relationship with her Nonna, and found Alexei to be endearing. Reading the authorā€™s note made me connect with this story even more. At first glance, Marisaā€™s story was very reminiscent to one of the storylines in 500 Miles From You, but as it went on, this one distinguished itself as being quite different from her other books while still feeling as comfortable and enjoyable as her books are for me. As always, I love her writing style and the way she draws you in to a community.
