so beautifully written and such a beautiful story as well. i love books about intimate, lifelong friendships so damn much. and i loved the way masculinity was presented in this so so much. tully was such a great character and yes, we do all have one of him at some point in our lives. the tone of the first and second halves of the book were different for obvious reasons, and though i did feel the second half slowed down a bit too much at parts, both were so lovely to read. the amount of love coming from all the characters in this book take away from the larger tragedy of it, but then the end, it still gets you
