kestrel is a bad liar, bruh. i’m a little annoyed that twice arin got offers of sex from women who gave no hint that they found him attractive, and that is honestly the only reason this is not a five-star review. the angst was so incredible that i’m going to read the next one.

you can definitely tell the author was discovering her queer identity. the emperor and the general were giving gay longing for a straight man who is uncomfortable with it. the gods are able to be any gender. it’s not unheard of to be gay. love it.

kestrel and arin are destiny 💖
