This book took me a minute to get into with there being multiple characters, but once I started getting attached to the characters it picked up. The story showcases the lives of several royal family members and those around them. It’s typical in the way of painting a true picture of the life of royalty rather than the imagined glitz and glam only. I really felt for the characters more and more throughout the book, and wish it got even deeper. Definitely a slower paced book that may not be for everyone, but I plan to continue reading the series!
