Fallen, by Lauren Kate

5.0

I first want to say, that this book, for me, was a perfect example of not judging a book by it's cover. I wasn't a huge fan of the outside, but the story inside was fantastic!!

This was only the third angel book that I've read, and they are quickly turning me into a paranormal romance fanatic!

This book was such a fast-paced, dark mystery. I loved all of the mysteriousness of the setting and all of the characters. I really liked the prologue and how it showed so much foreshadowing. Towards the end of the book, the story became a little predictable at points. I still really liked reading how the end played out.

Luce and Cam where my favorite characters. Luce was a girl that seemed out of place in her surroundings, yet still proved to stay strong and try to blend in. I liked how she meets new friends and soon starts to feel like she's fitting in and belongs. I liked Cam from the first page that I read with him on it. As the book progressed I started to get mixed feelings about him, and becoming more of a Daniel fan at the end. What I did like about him, was his friendly and goofy personality. At some points I found him a bit pushy, which I didn't like. I liked Cam because of the depth of his character.

Overall, Fallen was amazing. I'd recommend this book to those that like paranormal romance and lot's of dark mystery! I am so excited to continue on reading the series!
