How to Bang a Billionaire by Alexis Hall
5.0
This book, on at least 7 occasions made me have to pause because I was laughing out loud so hard that I couldn’t keep reading. Spice factor? 2.5/5 humor and witty banter? 1,000/5. Alexis Hall is an unstoppable force when it comes to cleverness and wit in his writing. I do see the comparison when it’s been called Gay 50 Shades, but with none of the bad BDSM rep, questionable contracts, and much more emotional nuance. Honestly the BDSM components were very tame, though I anticipate them ratcheting up in the next book.
The similarities between it and 50 shades are very similar, however, and I can’t help but feel this is an intentional gay retelling. But I can’t confirm that. Arden is incredibly lovable, goofy, and good for Caspian. They are each other’s mirror and I can’t wait to see where they go in the second book.
