3.5 stars. It kind of felt similar to other books that I've read in this genre, but with a slightly different character/plot/ability. I also felt the "action" at the end was a bit anti-climatic, and was annoyed by the abrupt (not even cliffhanger like ending). I'll still read the second book though!
