Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding

5.0

Though it was written more than twenty years ago. Women still struggle with the same aspects in life.
Bridget is the perfect example for an everyday woman. Plus I hadn’t read any diary like books as an adult. I must say I enjoyed it for once very much. Imo the vocabulary used in this romance book is indeed extended.

However I must say that the obsessive calorie counting and restricting and tw purging should’ve been discussed considerably more. Could be quite triggering. Also because it’s just tolerated and only briefly mentioned that a grown human being needs at least two thousand calories a day.
That set me in slight rage.

Despite of that fact I just love Bridget jones and I even feel the chemistry between Bridget and Mark.
I just feel at home reading.
