One extra star for Maiz. He was the only character that I actually cared about.
This was an okay book at the start but then the last part just took a turn for the... boring? Like, maybe not boring but it was just weird. Something felt off, probably because I didn't think this book would get so serious. When it did, I got turned off. The ending felt rushed and didn't feel right at all. The only reason I finished it was because of Maiz and nothing else.
