Inheritance by Christopher Paolini

4.0

this is an excellent example of an epic fantasy tale. I particularly love how the author weaves in major and minor conflicts, and the series ends by honoring how each conflict resolves. while I certainly still have curiosity about different elements of the world that haven’t yet been expanded upon, it doesn’t take away from the story as a whole or make the world building appear sloppy (quite the opposite!). if you’re looking for a meaty series where you can watch an author grow as a writer throughout, experience a world where dragons can be your familiar, and go on a wild adventure with a boy who never believed he was anything special until he was, then I highly recommend this series. Paolini truly does the fantasy genre justice.
