I think it might be that I'm just less and less interested in straight people romances every day. There are two or three authors who write het romance that I'm still a fan of and that I still go out of my way to read, but I think otherwise, I'm just not that interested anymore.
I'm tired in general of the stalker/attempted rapist storyline too and while I can still read a book with that plot, I have to really, really love the rest of the elements of the book and I just didn't here. I made it through a few chapters before I just had to skim through to the end.
I've loved a lot of books by Christine Warren and she's back in her shifter world, which is great, so I think it just might be my waning interest in cishet romance storylines.
