I liked this a lot. Well, it's safe to say I like this kind of forced proximity (kidnapping), but I'm glad this wasn't a psychological thriller of sorts and it was truly a romance on it's core. A mafia fairy tale.
The situations weren't very realistic, the bad guy wasn't really a bad guy and the h actions were dubious to say the least. But I like it anyway Lol It was insta-lust and insta-love, but the h put up a fight pretty good and didn't throw her arms around her kidnapper right away, so we get the right amount of sexual tension.
This isn't dark at all, there isn't any non-con or dub-con, or highly morally questionable attitudes but the kidnapping itself. I don't think I'll read all other books in the series since they seem very similar. I only read this one and it can be read as a standalone.
Ohh Benjamin Sands's narration was amazing! I love his voice, it was deep and raspy. He did the female voice amazingly though, it wasn't forced, annoying or anything, just good enough. I will definitely listen to him again.
