I was in love and GUSHING from page 1, sentence 1. I will admit that the bulk of this book is backstory. It's important world building and it makes the ending satisfying to be honest, however I just didn't get much pleasure out of the backstory. I found it tedious and boring. It was a chore to get through it but I'm glad I did. I'm honestly anxious to read more from this duo of authors.
