I loved this book like a crazy person, I have no words for Frederick Douglass and the way he used is will to learn to free himself. And it’s also a slap in the face, because as a human being I felt ashamed so many people had to go through something like this “without having committed any crime”. I just can’t understand it and the saddest part is that it still happens till this day in so many forms and ways …
