Zoe Ashwood's orc series is on my (ever growing) TBR list so I figured I'd give the prequel novella a whirl. It's very, very brief. It's alright, covers some basics, and establishes the overall series which I guess is the whole point so in that it succeeds. There really isn't enough time to develop much of anything so characters, worldbuilding, plot, etc. were just okay.
