Five on a Treasure Island by Enid Blyton

4.0

I read The Famous Five series when I was a child. I saw it over on the bookstagram feed last month and wanted to reminisce. I've decided to re-read the series and book one hasn't disappointed me. There's an innocence to the characters and the story that I can see reading as an adult. Remembering suspense feelings when younger. Being nearly 80 years old there is the odd difference for it to be completely relatable to today's adventures, identity and mental health topics. But for its time well written and easy to read, only taking an afternoon to do so.
