I loved this book. As someone who was a really lonely kid myself, I really connected with Eliza. It’s hard being a kid, especially one that has less than popular hobbies or interests. Eliza wanting to be a ghost (or not feeling real) broke my heart. Even though the first book had heavier themes, I didn’t expect where we ended up with Eliza. Marjie really grew up herself in this too and I felt her development was realistic for an 8th grade girl. This books was just really tender and of course beautiful (in story and art).
