Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

5.0

OK so this entire book is about the author's mother dying of cancer. You need to know this upfront because it will totally suck you in, but you might not be in the right mental space to want it in your life.

It's wonderful and sad, and funny at times, and I had to stop listening a couple of times as it is understandably rough going. The writing is really great, maybe only the very end felt a bit more dull. And it's also about food. Lots and lots of Korean food.

And it's somehow so relatable even though most everything in the book remains completely outside my personal experience.
