Waiting On Forever by E.M. Lindsey

5.0

I loved this just as much as [b:Shades of Lust|59490793|Shades of Lust (The Carnal Tower #1)|E.M. Lindsey|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1635634594l/59490793._SX50_.jpg|93706724], the first in the series.

After reading how Stone and August met, I wasn't sure how EM Lindsey would top that meet cute but having Taylor check out the eye candy that is Jet and Jet being part of a
Spoilerkid's superhero photoshoot
. just a few minutes later, was such a sweet and real way to meet someone.

The build-up from them being attracted to each other, to trying out being friends (something neither has much experience in), to finally admitting their attraction and being brave and vulnerable enough to act on it, was a wonderful slow burn and allowed their personalities and character to shine through.

As always, EM Lindsey deals with Jet's blindness with great sensitivity, and it never seems like they are trying to make us feel pity or sadness for Jet because of his disability. The same is true of how Jet's profession as a professional sex worker forms part of their story (how could it not), but never takes the main focus. And the way that Taylor becomes part of Jet's life is very believable.

This is a much quieter, slower love story than Shades of Lust, and I loved the pacing of it - and how indicative it is of both Jet and Taylor.

I can highly recommend this book and series and have Taste of Greed on pre-order.
