The Rebel by Kendall Ryan

4.0

The Rebel is book one in the Looking to Score Series. This book is told from dual points of view from Eden and Holt. There is a short story before this one, but you really don't need to read it as this book starts from the exact same spot, and the first few chapters are the same. Which is nice if you haven't read it yet or a nice little refresher.

Eden and Holt spent one night together in College, but she was pining for someone else. She ended up dating this other guy for 5 years, before their relationship fell apart. Now she is the owner of her grandfather's hockey team after he passed away and her ex-boyfriend just so happens to have been recruited to her team before she got a hold of it.

Holt is hired on as her professional bodyguard as a lot of fans are not happy about having a woman be in charge of this team. They think she's going to sleep with the players and the team won't do well with her in charge.

We get to look at Holt and Eden's relationship grow as well as her growth with the team. I really enjoyed getting to know Holt and Eden and can't wait to read the next book in the series.
