I absolutely loved this book. As a massive fan of Jane Austen this was a must read.
The perspective from the servants was a refreshing new look at the classic novel, as it added new story-lines that ran parallel and even intertwined to the events of P&P.
It even added additional details about some of the main P&P characters, for example Mr & Mrs Bennet, from the perspective of Mrs Hill the housekeeper, which shed a new light on why they acted the way they did in P&P.
I especially loved, as sad as it was, the details about the newly married Mrs Bennet, explaining what caused the "my poor nerves" that we all know so well.
As a history grad, it was refreshing to hear a working class perspective to the Regency era, when there was a ball, someone had to scrub the dress, curl the hair.
LOVED IT
