Thank you Netgalley and Little Brown Book Group for sending me a free e-ARC in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I have been waiting to read this book ever since I’ve read One Dark Window and it didn’t disappoint me at all. Two Twisted Crowns picks up right after book one left off. The story follows the multiple POV’s of Ravyn, Elspeth/The Shepherd King and Elm.

Rachel Gillig is an amazingly talented writer. The writing flows effortlessly and the pacing was never off. Just like the first book, Gillig created beautiful atmospheric scenes and I can vividly imagine the settings. This is one of the things I really love about this duology. I also liked the deeper delve into the history of Blunder, especially the Shepherd King’s backstory.

Overall, I really enjoyed this duology and I can see myself rereading it. I can’t wait to see what Gillig writes next.
