Fables, Vol. 20: Camelot by Bill Willingham

4.0

If half-star ratings were possible on Goodreads, this one would be a 4.5 because it was really good, almost as great as Cubs in Toyland, which is good since it is the beginning of the end for this amazing series, which will be wrapping up in a few more volumes.

This book makes great use of the characters we know and love, in particular Rose Red (who looks absolutely stunning on the cover in her armour, one of my favourite covers for sure). We also get some more interesting development with the cubs, as they continue to grow and differientiate themselves (at very least, I know which ones are Ambrose, Dare, Therese, and Winter now). Finally, there's an awesome return of an old character in probably the best issue collected here, though I won't say who exactly it is.

Fables dragged for a bit since the defeat of the Adversary but volumes like this one show it returning to form and I am very excited to read more and find out just how this brilliant series is going to end.
