This book is a love letter to never settling and always being your authentic self.

It’s a beautiful story about family and finding the right people who love you as you are, for all your quirks.

It’s somehow your typical romcom but also not. It takes all the typical tropes and turns them around, uses them in a sort of anti-trope way that I absolutely loved. It makes fun of itself and is full of heart.

It’s filled with such fun banter and Nora is one of the most relatable characters I’ve read in a while. She’s multidimensional and an imperfect person, as we all are. She leans into that. She doesn’t change who she is to fit a mould and the people who matter most don’t ask her to.

The writing feels fresh and lively. It’s fast paced, and filled with little wisdoms and witty one liners that made me laugh and smile the whole way through. It was easy to forget you were reading at all.

I blew through this book in no time at all. It’s a highlight of the year thus far and I’m going to be buying other Emily Henry books to devour immediately.
