The sequel to Real Good Man is just as good! However, I felt the last 15 minutes was super rushed, but I’m not going to dock the rating for it. It still tied up everything.

We get the classic small-town “I hate you, outsider” from the locals in this book towards Banner. Because that’s standard for small towns. It just is. It also has the issues of small town living where everyone knows everything and gossip spreads like wildfire.

Banner holds her own, though. She’s ready to call the small town her home and be done with city life in New York. She loves Logan and works through the chaos of her life being turned upside down to be with him.

We don’t get a lot from Logan in this book. Typical male “I don’t have much to say” feeling from his POV.

There was one scene that had me going “no! don’t do it! Don’t kill him! No... stop!” but all is well. That was a good suspenseful moment in the book and it had to do with a car and a building exploding.

Wish there was more plot, though. It just felt like “oh we love each other” but not really a ton of storyline.
