Unraveling Destiny by Amelia Hutchins

4.0

So far my least favorite in the series but still good. I mean that isn’t saying much since I love the series but just my first thought…

Lots of long speeches in this one and less spicy. Maybe my opinion is just skewed though because Playing with Monsters was SO scandalous. I honestly would be very lost if I had skipped from the previous Fae Chronicles book into this without reading Demon’s Dark Embrace or Playing with Monsters… glad I knew otherwise!

Love that Ristan is getting to be a dad. Hated that he thought for a moment that Olivia would cheat on him but also I understood. Now knowing what we know about Danu (and that she was a mega bitch) I’m not all that sad that she is gone but I feel for Syn. Can’t wait to see the tension between Ciara and Blane the freakin Dragon King in an upcoming book because yowza, it’s palpable. I mean even though she is a captive but still.

There are so many loose threads that I’m like wondering how these characters are even functioning. They allude to it a couple times just like “wow we have a lot going on” but that is an understatement to say the least. It’ll be a couple books in the series before I get back to Fae Chronicles so catch you on the flippity flip Ryder and Syn (as main characters).
