Ask: Building Consent Culture edited by Kitty Stryker

This was a pretty good read. I liked all the essays, but there were a bunch that I felt were really underdeveloped. I wanted more from them. They were like, an abstract for a piece instead of the piece itself. There were, however, a few really full and good essays included. The pieces by Tobi Hill-Meyer, Takeallah Rivera, Sez Thomasin, and Akilah S. Richards were wonderful.
My favorite thing about the collection as a whole was that there wasn’t a singular focus on sex. The essays were focused around a consent culture that extended to every part of life. I appreciate this look.
