Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir

4.0

Flawed but mostly fun

I would give this 3.5 stars if I could. There are some really creative things in here, and the humor makes for a fun read. But the detailed explanations of everything come off more like Weir is trying to show off than explain. And while I initially enjoyed how communication between characters was handled, it didn’t quite hold up all the way through. Everyone seems to be raving about this book. I’d say it’s good, but I enjoyed The Martian more.
