Miss Union Boss' Bad Boy Billionaire by Bianca Rivers

2.75

This was an OK read.
I was honestly not interested in / struggling to finish this book and I am not sure why.

Tracy and Gareth again were OK but there were no real sparks for me.
The writing felt off at times. Perhaps the writing style is just not for me?
Maybe it had to do with gaps in the story? I noticed that sometimes things were mentioned in the book that were apparently necessary to the plot, but that we did not see happen. Not enough of those to be part of the writing style, but too many to not notice.

On top of that, some of the internal dialogue felt off and not true to character to me. Tracy mentioned that she is "not one of *those* people obsessed with celebrities", and I do not like the #notlikeothergirls trope. Gareth mentally puts people down for having "cheap-looking clothes" and I bet that is part of the billionaire persona but ugh it costs nothing to be kind or at least neutral to "people beneath you".

Perhaps a bit random, and not really that important to the book, but the term 'hospice' really confused me. I did not get the feeling that Tracy's father was dying- isn't a hospice for palliative care? It seems as if he is in a long-ish term, rehabilitating sort of semi-medical living environment and not a end-of-live hospice?

Arch-nemises I did not feel in the least. This was mentioned (a few times?) in the book, but the blurb mentions more mild enemies to lovers. Hm.

2.5 to 3 stars.

I received an ARC of this book (thanks!) and these are my own opinions.
