Like all anthologies, there were some stories that were stronger than others but what I loved about The Black Girl Survives in This One is that all the stories felt cohesive and that all the stories in the anthology were pretty enjoyable (and spooky).

In terms of stories that spooked me the most, it would definitely be Harvesters by L.L Mckinney and The Brides of Devil's Bayou by Desiree S. Evans. The most heartwarming story for me was Local Color by Eden Royce and SN: but something I've always loved about Eden's stories is the family aspect. The stories that ended with me supporting women's 'wrongs' and going YESSS GIRL were Foxhunt by Charlotte Nicole Davisx and Black Pride by Justina Ireland.

Stories ranked from my Most to Least Favorite
1. Harvesters - L.L Mckinney
2. Foxhunt - Charlotte Nicole Davis
3. Local Color - Eden Royce
4. Ghost Light - Erin E. Adams
5. The Brides of Devil's Bayou - Desiree S. Evans
6. Black Pride - Justina Ireland & Inheritance - Camara Aaron
7. Welcome Back to the Cosmos - Kortney Nash
8. Black Girl Nature Group - Maika Moulite & Maritza Moulite
9. The Skittering Thing - Monica Brashears (omg are we not teaching the kids stranger danger anymore???)
10. TMI - Zakiya Dalila Harris
11. The Black String - Vincent Tirado
12. Queeniums for Greeniums - Brittney Morris
13. Cemetary Dance Party - Saraciea . J Fennell

Always in the market for more anthologies so in my humble opinion y'all should collab again!
