Valentines From Bath: A Bluestocking Belles collection by Bluestocking Belles, Amy Quinton, Jude Knight, Sherry Ewing, Jessica Cale, Caroline Warfield

4.0

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Out of the 5 short stories, I really enjoyed 4.

Cale's "Beauty and the Bounder" was a solid 3 stars thanks to it being a well-written read but it doesn't hold true to Regency period which could be a turn off for readers who really enjoy that era.

Ewing's "The Early Takes a Wife", didn't work for me. I didn't like any of the MCs and didn't care for how the story unfolded. The hero's apparent never was a bit overboard and I couldn't see what the heroine saw in him.

Knight's " The Beast Next Door" was my all-time favorite if the set. Borrowing on the themes of a classic which I love, the characters were well written and within a few pages, it was clear who they were and had distinct voices which was easy to read and fall in love with.

Quinton's "The Umbrella's Chronicles" was a cute and quirky story that had me giggling as I read about this OCD mathematician falling heads over heel in love with a zany and whimsical heroine.

Warfield's "Candles in the Dark" was another great read that I loved showcasing a tall, dark and strong yet reserved man who finds himself in quite a predicament all by chance. A well written short that had me falling in love with the alternating POV's of the MCs as they fell in love.
