an excellent short story collection with several insightful essays dispersed throughout. while I didn’t love every story,  there were several standouts for me (the stars we raised, the restaurant at the end of the universe, and dragonslaying), and overall it provided a good glimpse into the breadth of chinese sci-fi and fantasy writing.
