I am always speechless when I get to the end of DRS books and it’s all due to the amazing storytelling!  Ranger is no exception to this.

“Neither of us wanted to face reality—like a reader savoring the final pages of a story, unwilling to let it end.”  This book is the perfect ending to the series and I absolutely hate that it’s the last one of the RPG books.

Sydney knows her romance and after so much success from her past 20+ novels, she has been hit with life changing events.  Her past and hurt from her ex has shown into her writing and the readers are not happy. She takes off to Wisdom to step back and get some R&R, hoping the change of scenery can help her complete her series away from the spotlight.  She wasn’t expecting her change of scenery to bring her to Ranger, or back into the spotlight when a story breaks of her “marriage”.

Ranger is a swoon-worthy book boyfriend!  He’s beyond intelligent, straightforward, attentive, and it doesn’t hurt he has dimples!  He straight up fact fûçked his way into our hearts and definitely knows what it means to please a woman, despite being a virgin who has never been kissed!
All those firsts he experienced was spicy and hot, especially the first kiss!  He soaks up Sydney’s every moan, whimper, and reaction to his touch and replays is each time they are intimate as the “G-spot Genius”.

I loved the neurodivergent representation of Ranger and how he navigates though basic social norms that has always been outside his understanding.  He has so much love to give, yet never thought it would be possible for him.  He’s always been protected by his brothers and finally finds his voice in this book to step up and out of their protective bubble to prove to them the type of man, and husband, he is. The talks with his mom and brothers about remembering the passing of their dad was so emotional to me.  Ranger remembers everything about everything and it all finally sinks in and solidifies his feelings, when he’s never been one to feel much of anything. I cried along with them!

And it wouldn’t be a DRS book without the twist and suspense element. Although I was able to figure out early on who it was, I still like the journey and how the story keeps evolving and you end up forgetting who you figured out because you’re obsessed with the story.

The very first spoken “I love you’s” are so worth it after the uncertainty and fear of their marriage and next steps has lifted and they can finally have their HEA.

I absolutely loved the time jump epilogues and just the glimpse of their future and their statistical improbability!.

As an ARC team member, I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout for my honest early review.
