The Bleeding Throne by Daniela A. Mera

3.0

I was really enthralled with this series in the beginning. It had a great plot and lore for the first two books, and the tension and angst between Antonio and Carmen reminded me of my old wattpad days. But coming into book three, I figured this book would go out with a bang, but instead it went out with a sizzle. There's two separate conflicts happening in this book, the Queen of Air and Shadow and also Gálvez. I feel like there needed to be another book to give each of these conflicts their time to shine and be properly written about or just focused on one and gave it more details. I understand that this book is marketed towards YA / teens but it felt rushed. The plot did not move smoothly.

As others mentioned, there's an abundance of grammatical errors in this book, which distracts from the already lacking plot.

I enjoyed this series being bilingual. I also loved the developing relationship between Antonio and Carmen.

All and all this series had so much potential and it fell flat. I don't really feel enticed to see what else comes out of this world which is sad but I'm off the hype.
