From Here to the Great Unknown: A Memoir by Lisa Marie Presley, Riley Keough

4.0

I've been a fan of Elvis Presley since I was a young child, and as part of that, I've always followed Lisa-Marie's life, too. This biography was her telling her side of the many stories written about her throughout her tumultuous life and her memories of her father and his death. Sadly, she hadn't finished writing her memoir when she passed away, and it fell to her daughter, Riley Keough, to complete the book; offering an additional perspective, which was helpful. This isn't the world's greatest ever book; it's bitty, not particularly thorough, but it does illustrate clearly the difficulties of lives lived in the public eye and the excesses, and tragedy that brings.
