Getting to know more about Brinkley's past and just more about him in general was great. From Ally and Jessie's points of view it's sometimes really hard to see Brinkley as anything more than a gruff handler.
This book really gives insight into his feelings about the kids and why he is working so hard to strengthen Jessie when all she wants to do is slack off.
