Little Beach Street Bakery by Jenny Colgan

4.0

I'm a sucker for stories where people have a big life change (usually a death, breakup, or loss of job) and they flee to a small seaside town somewhere and open or work in a bakery, bookstore, or knitting shop. This is one of those, so you know the story already. But the enjoyment is in the familiarity of the story. Here, I wanted fresh bread the entire time, and even went to far as printing a recipe for making bread at home! This is not literary in any sense, the love story part of the plot was all over the place and could have done with a few less twists and turns, but overall, enjoyable.
