Almost everyone who saw me reading this book talked about how much they loved it and what a fun read it was... and I completely agree! It was just so good - completely unique, a little odd, endearing in the weirdest ways, and made me laugh out loud more than once. To say the characters were warm or lovable, might be a little off, but I still loved them. The twins gave me "Mick" Kelly vibes from The Heart is a Lonely Hunter - which made them even more lovable in my eyes. Beyond the twins, it drives you to think about society, parenting struggles, sacrifice, politics, greed, status, caregiving - it's such thought-provoking read, with a twist of satire and humor. It might be worth mentioning a suicide trigger warning, just in case. However, I loved it and think it'll stick as one of my favorites this year!
