Perhaps one of the best books I have read in a long time. The prose first and foremost has a way of being a bit winding, a bit conceptual, yet masterfully leads this story in such a compelling way and maintains SO much of Kris’ perspective as a character. It’s a beautiful, devastating exploration through the lens of a queer person in the margin of society and while it’s about those things it’s about so much more, about intense love (and intense loss), about the “exoskeletons” in our closet and what it means to not keep them to ourselves.
