I love this book to sadness, historically it was my favorite of the quartet and I think it still is, it is the book that I read before waiting for six months for The Raven King to come out, it is a book about knowing oneself and knowing others and accepting that you'll never know yourself or others as well as you'll ever assume, and also that others will know you. It's about growing up and it's wonderful and it pained me and I love it.
(Also I try to tell myself that taste is subjective but I know in my heart that I will never fully trust an Adam Parrish hater, I'm so sorry but it's the truth, oh well)
