Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale

4.0

Hale wrote what my younger self craved in fiction, and I'm finding my current self craves those things, too. A mystical setting, strong/complex characters, lovely thoughts sprinkled throughout the story, questions that make me keep reading because I must know the answers, even a little non-mushy love mixed in. This book pleased me so much. A few times the mystical setting got a little tiring (so many gods over so many weird things, it was hard to keep them straight), but most of the time it was just right for me.

Also can someone find me a prince like Khan Tegus because he genuinely made my heart flutter and I'm in my twenties
