Tangled in Texas by Kari Lynn Dell

4.0

This is the first time, I've read Kari Lynn Dell. Although I enjoyed reading this story about Delon Sanchez and Tori Patterson reconnecting years later after a brief, but intense, relationship, the first 1/3 of the book was difficult to push through. In part because of the emotional dysfunction of both Delon and Tori, and the people surrounding them, influencing their choices whether indirectly or not. As a result, the plot is convoluted at first. By the time, the couple start over, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge, so to speak, with Tori recently widowed and Delon a father, though not married to the mother of his child. In the end, I'm glad I continued to read this novel. The ending is rewarding because both Tori and Delon admit past mistakes and let go of assumptions. They worked so hard for their happier for now ending that I felt overjoyed for them. I'm looking forward to reading Kari Lynn's other novels.
