I know that Tamsyn is a favorite but I was never really sure how much I liked her. I thought she was rash and blew things out of proportion, but I never expected to like her as much as I did. As with the other two books I listened to the audio. There was a point though where I had the physical book and I wanted to know the resolutions to the town situation and I actually read like half the book.

Tamsyn's story picks up right before the competition for ranking at the glittering court. She and Adelaide have their disagreement and Tamsyn ends up on the other boat. This is where is got interesting. Tamsyn is with a cast of unfamiliar characters and they are a breath of fresh air. As they get shipped wrecked and meet the Icori ( who are like Irish or Scottish, totally didn't pick that up in the other two books). Tamsyn actually emerges as a leader and a good one. I really adored her by the end. I think Jago is a good fit and I liked her possible ambassador for working things out.

I think that this might be my favorite of the three books. Although I would really like an epilouge for a couple years down the road.

I also would still kill for a map.
