Willow's mom is gone and along with it, the magic that has protect her from being detected by the Coven, a group of witches where he bloodline depends from, that has turned into something horrid. But when Willow is forced to come face-to-face to her birthright with a plan to return the Coven to it's former glory, mysterious deaths begin to occur. Willow turns to Gray, a demon Vessel who should be her enemy for help. On her journey to fulfill her life's mission, Willow discovers a dark secret that changes the future of her life and Coven forever.

Overall, this story had a loose plot and a lot of tension between the two enemies-to-lovers. The professor and student troupe isn't my favorite and given that it was a dark romance, there were many lack of consent moments.

This book contains 2 open-door spicy scenes, lots of magic and magical creatures, as well as a surprise twist at the end to set up book 2.

I do plan to read book 2, but it wasn't may favorite book given the writing style.
