The Deep End by Jeff Kinney

4.0

Shoutout to my 11-year-old brother for making me read this book. We made a deal that if he finally started the series I bought for him last year that he never even looked at (because he is too busy reading various Diary of a Wimpy Kid books over and over again), I would read The Deep End. It was nostalgic and fun, and I got to spend an hour reading with him before bedtime. I noticed as I was reading that certain things felt familiar, and soon realized it was because my brother had talked about them incessantly as he was reading this book for the umpteenth time. I finished this puppy in one sitting, and now he is stuck spending more quality time reading with me. And now when he quizzes me about my favorite parts of this series from when I was a kid and there were only like 5 books out, I might be able to come up with an actual answer. It’s a win for me, folks!
