MMC is supposed to be a highly experienced dom but has no understanding of boundaries and consent. He's a manipulative bully who shows no respect for the FMC. The entire book felt like they were on the edge of getting it, maybe now it's about to get good, so I kept pushing. Wasn't worth finishing. Setting also felt contrived. While I've never been to New Orleans or lived in the swamp, I know enough to tell the author hasn't either.
