Casanova the Complete Edition Volume 1: Luxuria by Matt Fraction

4.0

This was *such* a wild ride. Even when I wasn't sure what was happening (and that was more than a handful of times), I was having a rip-roarin' blast. It never tries to reassure the reader or ensure they're in on the hyperdrive kick, and I honestly can't tell if that's a strength or a weakness of this series, but there be few reads with better energy. It's all swingin', slingin', slangin' espionage through dimensions and timelines with plenty of sex, highs, and jive talk. It's so rambunctious and silly while shooting in all directions at once. It's so giddy to be what it is that you can't help but catch the thrill.
